Following the murder of a young man in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, a minor girl has been arrested and has provided significant details to the police. The victim hailed from Kishanganj, Bihar, and the accused is a resident of Bilaspur. Authorities took her into custody after the incident, which occurred on Sunday night. Upon returning home after the killing, the girl’s mother noticed blood on her. When pressed, the girl admitted to the murder, causing her mother to contact the Koni police station in Bilaspur.
During questioning, the girl stated she met the deceased, Saddam, on Instagram three years prior. Saddam used multiple Instagram accounts, and she connected with him through one of them. They began communicating and eventually met in Raipur on several occasions. She revealed that Saddam secretly recorded an explicit video of her.
The girl explained that Saddam used the video to blackmail her, threatening to distribute it unless she complied with his demands. He also physically assaulted her when she resisted. She became pregnant as a result of these actions. On September 27, she traveled from Bilaspur to Raipur by train, informing Saddam of her arrival. Upon meeting her at the station, Saddam assaulted her.
Subsequently, they rented a room at the Avon Lodge near the station. The next day, September 28, they checked out and went to Abhanpur. They returned to the lodge that evening. The young man consumed alcohol, and they later went to sleep. In the dead of night, while Saddam slept, the girl stabbed him repeatedly in the neck with a knife, resulting in his immediate death.
After the murder, the girl locked the lodge room and traveled back to Bilaspur by train. She took Saddam’s phone and deleted all data from it. While returning, she disposed of the phone and the room key from the train. She then returned home and informed her mother, which led to the discovery of the crime.
