The state cabinet convened and announced several important policy changes. Police officers from the 2005-2009 batch will be promoted, with additional posts created to facilitate this. A collaborative initiative with PanIIT will be launched to support the empowerment of underprivileged communities, focusing on skill development, vocational training, and rural entrepreneurship. The cabinet also approved the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) Amendment Bill, 2025, and a new student startup and innovation policy. This policy aims to engage with 50,000 students, incubate 500 prototypes, and support 150 startups, especially in the agriculture, green energy, and healthcare sectors. Revisions to the Agricultural Produce Market Act, the establishment of a state capital region development authority, and the Chhattisgarh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, 2025, were also sanctioned. Land revenue code amendments are set to streamline land record processes, and revisions to the Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University Act were approved as well.
