Raipur, July 21, 2025 / The Mahtari Vandan Yojana of the Chhattisgarh government is writing a new chapter of change in the lives of rural women. This scheme is not only empowering women economically, but is also becoming a participant in the needs of the family.
Smt. Rabina Pisda, a resident of village Pandritarai of Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district, is a homemaker. She is receiving financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month under the scheme. She said that she is using this amount for her son’s education and essential household chores. This year, when her son was admitted to first grade, she bought a bag, slate, pencil, shoes and other educational materials for her son with the amount from the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Smt. Rabina says that her husband does agricultural work and she herself also helps in farming. Earlier it was difficult to save any kind of savings, but with this scheme, now every month she is able to save a little amount and strengthen the foundation of her son’s bright future.
Expressing gratitude to Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai and Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, Smt. Rabina said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has become a support for thousands of women like her. This is giving them an opportunity to become self-reliant and contribute to the family.
