In Jashpur, Chhattisgarh, a devastating hit-and-run incident unfolded. A Bolero vehicle, moving at high speed, struck a group of villagers who were on their way back from the Ganesh idol immersion (Visarjan). The joyous atmosphere of the festival quickly turned to one of sorrow. Three people were killed instantly, and many others were injured.
