The Indian government has approved the promotion of seven Chhattisgarh Police Service officers to the Indian Police Service (IPS). The Ministry of Home Affairs issued an official notification on August 27, 2025, confirming the appointments.
The selection process followed the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) approval of the 2024 selection list on August 26, 2025. The selection committee had finalized the list on August 6, 2025. This resulted in the promotion of seven Chhattisgarh State Police Service (SPS) officers to the IPS.

* Harish Rathore (born July 6, 1971)
* Vedvrat Sirmaur (born February 22, 1972)
* Rajshree Mishra (born June 19, 1970)
* Shweta Srivastava Sinha (born July 8, 1977)
The Ministry of Home Affairs order specifies that these officers will fill seven vacant positions within the Chhattisgarh cadre. The promotions have uplifted the officers involved and have also generated a positive atmosphere among the other state police service officers.
