Important decisions were taken in the Cabinet meeting held today at Mahanadi Bhawan, Ministry, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai –
1 The Council of Ministers has taken a big decision in the interest of farmers. By amending the prevailing instructions of the Krishi Unnati Yojana, its scope has been further expanded. Now, the benefit of this scheme will be available to farmers producing pulses, oilseeds, maize, etc. instead of registered paddy crop, along with paddy producing farmers in Kharif 2025.
Registered farmers in Kharif 2024 who had planted paddy and sold paddy at the support price, if they cultivate pulses, oilseeds, maize, etc. in place of paddy crop in Kharif 2025, they will also be provided input assistance under the Krishi Unnati Yojana.
2 Taking an important decision in the interest of the officers-employees of the Chhattisgarh government, the Cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Pension Fund formation and its management and regulation related Bill-2025 for better financial management of pension payment related liabilities at the time of retirement in the future.
3 The Cabinet approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund formation and its management and regulation related Bill-2025 to ensure long-term economic development and fiscal stability of the state. This will provide proper management of abnormal increase/decrease in the state’s revenue and financial security during economic recession.
4 The Cabinet has approved the draft of Chhattisgarh State Logistic Policy-2025 for the overall development of the logistics sector in the state. This policy will develop Chhattisgarh state as a logistics hub and strengthen the export infrastructure.
Taking advantage of the geographical location of the state, national and multinational companies of the logistics sector and e-commerce will be attracted to invest for the establishment of logistics hubs. The storage capacity of the state will increase, which will provide cheap storage facilities to the industries, traders and farmers of the state. Reducing the cost involved in logistics in the state will promote trade, investment and economic development.
Through this policy, encouraging the establishment of dry ports/inland container depots will provide an opportunity for micro, small and medium enterprises and local producers to reach export markets. An eco-system will be created for the export of the state’s abundant forest resources, forest produce and medicinal products. This policy will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state and also establish the state in a leading role in the logistics and export sector.
5 Taking an important decision, the Cabinet has approved the draft of the Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill-2025 to decriminalize the provisions of some laws of the state. The Jan Vishwas Bill will increase ease of doing business and living. There will be a reduction in unnecessary court cases and the expenses incurred in them.
6 The Cabinet has approved 7 schemes under the Redevelopment Scheme for the systematic development and proper use of pre-built and dilapidated buildings and unusable government land owned by various departments/corporations/boards/companies/boards of the state. These include Shanti Nagar Raipur, BTI Shankar Nagar Raipur, Kailash Nagar Rajnandgaon, Chandni Chowk Phase-2 Jagdalpur, Civil Line Kanker, Club Para Mahasamund, Katghora Korba.
7 The Cabinet has decided to fix the minimum qualifying service of 02 years for the promotion of Upper Grade Registration Clerk/Record Keeper to the post of Third Grade Executive, Deputy Registrar under the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department for only once, instead of the prescribed minimum qualifying service of 05 years.
