Central Home Minister Amit Shah paid his respects to the family of ASP Akash Rao Girepunje, who lost his life in Sukma. He spent time with the martyred officer’s wife, children, and other family members, offering his condolences. Shah reassured the family of the government’s unwavering support and pledged to provide all necessary aid.
Subsequently, Shah’s planned visit to Narayanpur has been called off. Instead, he will hold discussions with the force commanders in Raipur. The cancellation was confirmed by Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma.
