Balod: Concerns are resurfacing about the state of education in Chhattisgarh as a headmaster has been caught consuming alcohol while on duty. Sarjuram Thakur, the headmaster of the Government Primary School in Chipra village, was reportedly found drinking alcohol, hidden in a Sprite bottle, during school hours.
This incident follows a previous suspension for a similar offense, raising questions about the disciplinary measures within the education department. The Kusumsakasa BJP Mandal President conducted a surprise inspection on Tuesday and discovered the headmaster’s actions.
The BJP leader has filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer (BEO), highlighting the repeated nature of the offense and questioning the decision to reinstate the headmaster after the initial suspension. The demand for strict action underscores the need to ensure a safe and disciplined learning environment for the students.
