Residents have been instructed to remain in their homes. Forest officials have warned of potential danger in the forests, leading to widespread unease among the local population. The news is particularly worrying for farmers who are in the midst of the crucial monsoon season.
Information from the Forest Department indicates that a herd of elephants has been traversing the forests of Forest Development Corporation compartments 155, 156, 126, and 127 for the last three days. Forest Department teams are constantly tracking the movements of these elephants.
The alert has been issued for the following villages: Chhatal, Talajhar, Murumdih, Daldali, Keshaldih, Sukulbay, Nandbaru, Amloor, Khirsali, Bandora, Raymuda, Jhakhmuda, Achanakpur, and Fuseradih. The Forest Department has urged the villagers to avoid entering the forests, especially during the morning and evening hours.
