Raipur, July 18, 2025/ Taking a very important decision in the interest of the farmers of the state, the central government has increased the target of rice procurement for the central pool for the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 from 70 lakh metric tons to 78 lakh metric tons. This decision strengthens the hard work and trust of the lakhs of Annadatas of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Shri Prahlad Joshi on this important decision, said that the double engine government is committed to the prosperity of the Annadatas of the state.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, posting on the social media platform ‘X’, said that it is a matter of great joy for the state that the government of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who prioritizes the interests of our Annadatas, has approved the increase in the target of rice procurement in the central pool for the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 from 70 lakh metric tons to 78 lakh metric tons. With the efforts of our government, the central government has approved the procurement of an additional 08 lakh metric tons of rice.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this decision will further strengthen the economic condition of the farmers of Chhattisgarh. Along with this, it will also provide new energy to the state’s agricultural economy.
