Cloudy skies and moderate rain are expected on August 23, with similar weather patterns on August 24 and 25. Rain or thundershowers are expected in Delhi on August 26 and 27.
The weather has shifted in Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rainfall alert for five days, starting today. A heavy rainfall alert has been issued for 38 districts of the state today. Rainfall is expected across almost the entire state on August 24 and 25. Heavy rainfall may continue until August 26.
Heavy rainfall is anticipated from Bihar to Bengal and Odisha. According to the Meteorological Department, Bihar, Jharkhand, the Himalayan region of West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha are expected to receive heavy rainfall for the next week. Lightning is possible in several states. Heavy rainfall is likely in Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan over the next six to seven days.
Heavy rainfall can also be expected in the hilly states of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Special warnings have been issued for Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Heavy rain may occur in Uttarakhand from today to August 25. Himachal Pradesh may experience heavy rainfall from tomorrow to August 26.
