The association withdrew the statewide strike, thanking the Chief Minister for fulfilling the major demands
Raipur, September 19, 2025/The delegation of Chhattisgarh State NHM Employees Association met Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur. The delegation informed him of the decision to withdraw the statewide strike, thanking Chief Minister Shri Sai for fulfilling their major demands. The delegation told Chief Minister Shri Sai that NHM employees across the state will return to work from tomorrow.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai welcomed the decision to end the strike by National Health Mission (NHM) employees, calling it commendable and a step taken in the interest of the state.
The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh government considers every employee as a part of its family and has always been sensitive to their legitimate demands. He said that the health of the people is our top priority and the government has always taken concrete initiatives in this direction.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this decision of NHM employees will strengthen the health services of the state and the public will get excellent and accessible medical facilities. He expressed confidence that with the collective efforts of the government and the employees, Chhattisgarh will move towards an even better, healthier and brighter future.
It is noteworthy that NHM employees had gone on strike over their ten-point demands. The state government has fulfilled four of these demands. Action has been initiated by forming a committee on three other demands, while a decision has to be taken by the Government of India on the demands related to merger, public health cadre and reservation.
Earlier, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, on the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, expressed his gratitude for the end of the strike. He said that every employee of the state is a member of the family and the NHM employees have taken a commendable decision in the interest of the state by ending the strike.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, Dr. Amit Miri, Dr. Ravi Shankar Dixit, Shri Puran Das, Shri Kaushalesh Tiwari, Shri Hemant Sinha, Shri Dinesh Chandra, Shri Santosh Chandel, Shri Prafulla Pal, Dr. Devkant Chaturvedi and other members were present from the Chhattisgarh State NHM Employees Association.
