The shadow of Naxal violence has once again fallen upon Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, as a villager was murdered in a targeted attack. Bandi Korram of Nilawaya village was the victim of a brutal assault, where he was killed using a sharp weapon. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Aranpur police station. It is reported that a group of Naxals entered the village under the cover of darkness, summoned Korram from his residence, and then proceeded to murder him. The community is in a state of fear and distress following the incident. The police responded swiftly to the report, arriving at the scene to begin an investigation. The police have taken the body for a post-mortem. Adding to the tragedy, it has come to light that the Naxals had previously murdered Korram’s son, Harendra Korram, about four years ago.
