The Danteshwari Mata Temple in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, is a popular destination for devotees. Daily, numerous worshippers visit to offer prayers and make donations. The temple’s donation box, opened after a five-month period, contained cash, gold, silver, and letters detailing devotees’ requests. One letter specifically asked for a blessing to marry a girlfriend, while others sought employment at NMDC and family prosperity. The opening of the donation box occurred on Monday under tight security, with temple officials present to count the offerings. The total cash donations amounted to ₹11,18,194. This figure is less than the ₹19,23,723 collected during the February count. The gold and silver donations are still under assessment. The collected funds have been added to the temple’s treasury. The temple is growing in fame, particularly during Navratri when devotees from across India and the world come to offer prayers and donations. The temple’s assets are substantial, and the enhanced beauty of the temple has led to an increase in foot traffic. The Sharadiya Navratri sees donations exceeding a crore, contributed via Jyoti Kalash and the donation box. The temple uses the donations to cover operational expenses, with silver donations being used for coin production.
