Raipur, August 11, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated development works worth Rs 96 crore and laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 90 crore at a program organized at the Government Lochan Prasad Pandey College complex in Sarangarh, under Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, and gifted the district with development works worth Rs 186 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai announced various works worth Rs 13.40 crore from the stage for the expansion of various public facilities in the district.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said in his address that as an MP, he served Sarangarh for a long time and now, as the Chief Minister of the state, he has been fulfilling the responsibility of advancing Chhattisgarh on the path of development with full dedication and commitment for the last one and a half years. He said that concrete steps are being taken by the government towards fulfilling the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. 21 quintals of paddy per acre is being purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 3,100. Approval has been given for the construction of 18 lakh Prime Minister’s houses and the construction of houses for the beneficiaries is going on at a rapid pace, the speed of which is so fast that the shortage of masons and centering plates is also being felt in the villages.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana has provided economic support to 70 lakh women of the state. Women are also starting their own businesses with the amount received every month. The mothers and sisters of Dansara of Sarangarh district have taken the initiative to build a Ram temple in their village with the amount of Mahtari Vandan, which the whole state knows today. The prices of tendu leaf purchases have been increased. Rs 10-10 thousand are being given to 5.62 lakh agricultural landless laborers. So far, 22 thousand devotees have visited the Lord Shri Ram at Ayodhyadham under the Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana.
Revenue and District In-charge Minister Shri Tankram Verma said that our government has been working to accelerate development works in rural and urban areas of the state in the last one and a half years. He said that the gift of crores of development works in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district will increase public facilities here.
MP Shri Radheshyam Rathia said that the work of development works and infrastructure expansion is being accelerated in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district. Along with basic facilities like roads, education, health, works like PM Awas are being completed on priority.
Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Dev said that the work of giving new heights to development works in the state along with implementing the public welfare works of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on the ground is continuously going on under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district has received a gift of 186 crore, which will strengthen infrastructure development in the district.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai announced development works worth Rs 5 crore for the construction of Gaurav Path from Bharat Mata Chowk to Garh Chowk to Kosir Chowk, Rs 1 crore for the construction of a garden in Nagar Palika Sarangarh, Rs 3 crore for the construction of a building for PG College in Sarangarh, Rs 2.5 crore for the renovation of Indoor Stadium Sarangarh, Rs 1 crore for the repair of Balak Hostel Sarangarh, Rs 40 lakh for the construction of rooms for the convenience of patients in the new district hospital, and Rs 50 lakh for the expansion of facilities at the bus stand Sarangarh.
Chhattisgarh Housing Construction Board President Shri Anurag Singhdev along with other public representatives, officers and dignitaries were present in the program.
