At the Nuakhai Milan Samaroh, a divisional-level event held at the Forest School complex in Jagdalpur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai announced key initiatives aimed at fostering tribal development. The event also marked the inauguration of the social building “Olek”. CM Sai highlighted the Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana, a program initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a budget of 80,000 crore rupees, designed to uplift tribal-dominated villages. He also mentioned the Prime Minister Janman Yojana, specifically aimed at integrating particularly backward tribes into society. The Chief Minister approved a grant of 75 lakh rupees for the construction of domes at five locations for the Dhurwa community. He also committed to considering the proposals submitted by 36 sarpanches for village development projects. During the event, CM Sai offered prayers to Maa Danteshwari and paid tribute to Shaheed Gundadhur, a hero of the Dhurwa community. He underscored the significance of the Nuakhai Milan Samaroh as a cultural and traditional celebration, emphasizing its importance for future generations. Sai noted the significance of the Special Tribal Area Development Authority in Bastar and Sarguja divisions and mentioned the Niyad Nellanar Yojana’s efforts to provide infrastructure like roads, electricity, and housing in Maoist-affected regions. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, MP Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Kiran Dev, and other officials. The Dhurwa community leaders extended a traditional welcome to the dignitaries.
