Raipur, August 13, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony organized in village Piparia of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district, said that the Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district was formed during the previous government, but the previous government did not pay serious attention to the development of its basic infrastructure. He said that our government has taken up the challenge of removing this deficiency and now Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai will be equipped with strong infrastructure and modern facilities, so that all-round development here can be ensured.
Chief Minister Shri Sai gave a historic gift of 71 development works worth Rs 611.21 crore in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, which included the foundation stone laying of 18 works at a cost of Rs 470.98 crore and the inauguration of 53 works at a cost of Rs 140.23 crore.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that with these development works, a solid start has been made in the direction of realizing the dream of a developed Khairagarh. He assured that the dreams that the elders, youth, mothers and sisters of the district have nurtured will be fulfilled. Respecting public sentiments, he announced the development of Pailimeta as a tourist area, construction of a high-level water tank in Chhuikhadan at a cost of Rs 50 lakh, opening of a ‘Paan Cafe’ to promote betel cultivation, construction of a 500-seater state-of-the-art auditorium in Khairagarh and establishment of a college in Mudhipar. He assured that these works would be included in the budget of the upcoming financial year.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that he has an emotional and intimate connection with Khairagarh, Rajnandgaon, Kawardha and Manpur-Mohla. Now, when he has got the reins of the state, he is leading Chhattisgarh on the path of development with full dedication and devotion. He said that in the last one and a half years, the government has rapidly implemented schemes for the welfare of every section and concrete steps are being taken in the direction of realizing the guarantees given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that to protect the interests of the farmers, 21 quintals of paddy per acre is being purchased at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal, which is giving them direct and beneficial price benefits. Similarly, 18 lakh houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and their construction is going on at a fast pace, which is providing employment to skilled workers involved in masons, centering plate construction and other construction works in the villages.
Describing the ‘Mahtari Vandan Yojana’ as a revolutionary initiative to make women financially self-reliant, he said that its forms will be filled again soon. Currently, 70 lakh women of the state are receiving financial assistance every month from this scheme and many women have also started their own businesses.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also mentioned the increase in purchase rates in the interest of tendu leaf collectors, financial assistance of Rs 10-10 thousand to 5.62 lakh agricultural landless laborers of the state and the visit of 22 thousand devotees to Ayodhya so far under the Shriram Lala Darshan Yojana.
Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed confidence that with the cooperation of the public, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district will soon be included in the leading districts of the state with strong infrastructure and comprehensive development.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is the first government in the country, which is purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre from farmers at a support price of Rs 3,100 per quintal. He said that the government’s goal is not only to make schemes, but to implement them 100 percent so that the benefits can reach the person standing in the last row.
