Youth will participate in the padyatra from Karamsad, the land of Sardar Patel’s work, to Statue of Unity Kevadia.
Raipur November 23, 2025/On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudeo Sai today flagged off a contingent of 68 youths from the state going to Gujarat to participate in the padyatra from the Chhattisgarh State Youth Commission office located in Raipur. These youths will participate in the national padyatra organized from Karamsad, the land of Sardar Patel’s work, to Kevadia.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel laid the foundation of Akhand Bharat by uniting 562 princely states and areas under British rule. His strong will, unwavering resolve, and tireless efforts knitted India together.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a few days ago, he participated in the Bharat Parv organized in Kevadia, Gujarat, where he visited the world’s tallest statue—the Statue of Unity—and witnessed a living glimpse of India’s cultural unity. On this occasion, Chhattisgarh’s rich culture, diversity, and cuisines were also showcased.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that public representatives from across the country will also join the youths of Chhattisgarh in the Unity March, which will be held from November 26 to December 06, which is a matter of pride for all of us.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that Sardar Patel’s contribution to the creation of India’s cultural and geographical unity is incomparable. He accomplished the historic task of integrating princely states, which became the foundation of India’s unity and integrity. He extended his best wishes and congratulations to the selected youths for the national padyatra.
Jagdalpur MLA Shri Kiran Singh Dev, addressing the youths, wished them a bright future and extended his best wishes for their participation in the padyatra.
On this occasion, Raipur District Panchayat President Shri Naveen Agarwal, former MLAs Shri Naveen Markandey, Shri G. Venkat Rao, Shri Shyam Narang, Shri Rahul Tikariya, Secretary of the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare Shri Yashwant Kumar, along with a large number of youths, officers, and employees were present.
