Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai conducted aerial and ground survey of flood affected areas of Bastar
Raipur, September 1, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today conducted an aerial survey and ground inspection of Dantewada and Bastar districts of Bastar division affected by floods. He directly observed the situation of the affected areas and took information about the progress of relief and rehabilitation works. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that it is the top priority of the state government to provide assistance to every family affected by the floods on time and for this, sensitivity and promptness are necessary at all levels.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reached the temporary relief camp set up in Chuditikra ward of Dantewada, where he met the flood affected families and listened to their problems. The Chief Minister said that the government stands with every affected family. He directed the administration to ensure that adequate food, clean drinking water and safe accommodation are continuously available in the camps.
Chief Minister Shri Sai inspected the health camp set up here. He obtained information from the medical team about the availability of medicines, deployment of doctors and primary health services being provided to the patients. The Chief Minister, while directly interacting with the affected families, also asked whether they were satisfied with the help of the administration. The affected people expressed satisfaction over the prompt cooperation of the district administration.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also inspected the bridge damaged by the floods and assessed the traffic system and the condition of reconstruction works in the area. He directed the officers to ensure the early restoration of basic facilities like roads, electricity and drinking water in the affected villages. He clearly said that any kind of negligence in relief and rehabilitation works will not be tolerated.
After this, the Chief Minister held a review meeting with the district administration and departmental officers at Dantewada Collectorate. In the meeting, a detailed review of the progress of relief and rescue operations, rehabilitation schemes and immediate assistance being provided to the affected families was done. The Chief Minister directed the officers to ensure the continuous reach of administrative teams in the affected villages and that relief material reaches every needy person on time.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that natural disasters like floods certainly bring difficulties, but the solution to these difficulties is possible through administrative promptness and public cooperation. He directed the officers to take special care of children, women and the elderly in relief camps and affected villages and to prioritize the necessary facilities related to health and education.
Forest Minister and Minister in-charge of the district Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Revenue Secretary and Disaster Relief Commissioner Smt. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale, Divisional Commissioner Shri Doman Singh along with senior officials of the district administration were present with the Chief Minister Shri Sai.
