Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai participated in the divisional level Nuakhai Milan ceremony and inauguration of the newly constructed social भवन “Olekh” of Dhurwa Samaj in Jagdalpur\n\nThe state government is committed to the overall development of the tribal community – Chief Minister Shri Sai\n\nAnnouncement of Rs 75 lakh for dome construction at 5 places for Dhurwa Samaj\n\nRaipur, September 21, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that the state government is committed to the overall development of the tribal community. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started the Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana with a view that there should be no shortage in the development of tribal dominated villages, there should be no problem of money. Rs 80 thousand crore has been provided for this scheme. The Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana has been started for the upliftment of the adopted sons of the President, the special backward tribes, so that positive efforts are being made to connect these special backward tribes with the mainstream of development.\n\nChief Minister Shri Sai said that with all these meaningful efforts, the Ganga of development will flow in the tribal areas and our tribal community will continue to progress. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said this at the divisional level Nuakhai Milan ceremony and the inauguration of the newly constructed social भवन “Olekh” of Dhurwa Samaj at the Forest School complex in Jagdalpur. On this occasion, he announced a total of Rs 75 lakh for the construction of domes at 05 places for the Dhurwa Samaj at a cost of fifteen-fifteen lakh rupees. Along with this, he also assured to give approval to the proposals presented by 36 sarpanchs of Dhurwa Samaj for the development of gram panchayats.\n\nOn this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai performed puja-archana of Maa Danteshwari, the presiding deity of Bastar, in the symbolic Gudi and inaugurated the newly constructed social भवन “Olekh” of Dhurwa Samaj.\n\nChief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while saluting the brave hero of Dhurwa Samaj, Shaheed Gundadhur, said that this historic Nuakhai Milan ceremony is the carrier of our rich culture and traditions. It is the great tradition of our tribal society that before accepting any grain or fruit, we worship our deities and offer them and then accept them. This tradition is still alive today and will be maintained for generations to come.\n\nChief Minister Shri Sai, while congratulating the Dhurwa Samaj on the inauguration of the social भवन “Olekh”, said that this new building will prove to be very useful from the point of view of the development of the society and will be useful for the meetings and conferences of the society.\n\nRemembering the contribution of the creator of the state of Chhattisgarh, former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, he said that Atalji had constituted a separate Tribal Affairs Ministry in the Government of India keeping in mind the welfare of the tribal community. Congratulating on the Chhattisgarh Silver Jubilee year, he said that the birth centenary year of Atalji is being celebrated as Atal Nirman year.\n\nChief Minister Shri Sai mentioned the role of the Special Tribal Area Development Authority for the development of the tribal dominated Bastar and Sarguja divisions. He said that former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh had constituted both the Special Tribal Area Development Authorities, keeping in mind the development of these areas, so that necessary development works could be ensured in these areas in addition to the schemes.\n\nHe said that our government is providing basic facilities like roads, पुल-पुलियों, electricity and water along with housing and ration through the Niyad Nellanar Yojana in the Maoist-affected areas of Bastar division. We are working with full commitment towards providing the benefits of public welfare schemes to every eligible person.\n\nDeputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, while congratulating the members of Dhurwa Samaj on the Nuakhai Milan ceremony, said that this coordinated effort of the society is inspiring for the new generation. He said that when we perform the traditions of our ancestors and keep them constantly, the unity and culture of the society becomes strong.\n\nForest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MP Bastar Shri Mahesh Kashyap and MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Dev also addressed the program and congratulated the Dhurwa Samaj on the Nuakhai Milan ceremony.\n\nAt the beginning, Divisional President of Dhurwa Samaj Shri Pappu Nag presented the welcome address and apprised about the activities of the society. The office bearers of the society cordially welcomed the Chief Minister by presenting traditional छतरी, Dhurwa Tuval and Koti along with arrows and bows. Other guests were also welcomed in the traditional way.\n\nOn this occasion, Chitrakot MLA Shri Vinayak Goyal, Dantewada MLA Shri Chaitram Atami, President of Chhattisgarh Beverage Corporation Shri Srinivas Rao Maddy, Mayor of Jagdalpur Shri Sanjay Pandey along with other public representatives, Commissioner Bastar Shri Doman Singh, IG Shri Sundarraj P, Collector Shri Haris S, Superintendent of Police Shri Shalabh Sinha and the office bearers and members of Dhurwa Samaj from the entire Bastar division were present.
