Raipur, August 12, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik Meritorious Student Felicitation Ceremony held at Guru Ghasidas University in Bilaspur today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai, while honoring the meritorious students of the university, said that the youth generation is the future of the nation and with their hard work, dedication and resolve, the state and the country will touch new heights. Chief Minister Shri Sai said in his address that this is an occasion of great pride and enthusiasm when we are honoring the bright, hardworking and talented children of our new generation. He said that this event has been taking place for the past three years in the memory of Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik and this program is a source of inspiration for the entire society. Such programs inspire children to move forward and do something new.
Chief Minister Shri Sai, while paying tribute to Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik, said that his sacrifice will not go in vain. He said that Veer Saput Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik was martyred in Narayanpur in 2018 while fighting the Maoists. A trust has been formed in his memory to perpetuate his memory and honoring talent through this is an exemplary initiative.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, we are moving towards ending Naxal terror by March 2026. The double engine government of the Center and the state is committed to eliminating Naxalism. Success is being achieved in continuous Naxal operations, crores of prize-winning Naxals are surrendering and the back of Naxalism has been broken.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that through this felicitation ceremony, we are not only honoring the students who have scored good marks in the examination, but also the children who are the future makers of the country. He told the students that the achievement you have achieved is undoubtedly your hard work, but behind it, the family, teachers and society also have an important contribution. He said that Chhattisgarh has entered its silver jubilee year. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the students of the state do not need to go outside for higher education because all high-level educational institutions are available in the state.
In the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai presented certificates of appreciation and mementos to the students who performed excellently in various faculties. He gave the students the message of setting goals, working continuously and maintaining a positive attitude.
Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao paid his respects by offering floral tributes to Veer Saput Shaheed Vinod Singh Kaushik. Addressing the students, he said that you are at such an important stage of life from where the direction of the future is decided. With your efforts, not only yours, but also the bright future of the country and the state will be built. Your parents, teachers and relatives’ hopes are also attached to your dreams. Work hard continuously with a dedicated spirit to realize these dreams. Shri Sao, while encouraging the students, said that remove words like ‘depression’ and ‘despair’ from your dictionary forever, because a disappointed person can never achieve success. Keep moving towards your goal with enthusiasm and positive thinking.
On this occasion, MLAs Sarvashree Amar Agarwal, Dharamlal Kaushik, Dharamjit Singh, Sushant Shukla, Dilip Lahariya, Mayor Smt. Pooja Vidhani, Chairman of Textbook Corporation Shri Rajesh Pandey, Chairman of CREDA Shri Bhupendra Savanni, along with public representatives and a large number of students were present.
