Raipur, June 13, 2025 / Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh government has taken a significant step, prioritizing transparency, efficiency, and digital empowerment in government works. On the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai, the Finance Department and the Directorate of Pensions of the state have ensured the digital availability of electronic pension payment orders (ePPO) and other important documents through the DigiLocker platform. This initiative is considered a historic achievement in the direction of the state government’s digitization resolution.
Approximately 3.61 lakh government employees and 1.50 lakh pensioners of the state can now access their GPF statements, final payment orders, pension certificates, and pension payment orders, as well as other important documents, anytime, anywhere, in a secure and authentic form through DigiLocker. This facility will eliminate the dependence on physical copies of documents and also provide relief from unnecessary visits to offices, thereby saving time and resources.
Chief Minister Shri Sai appreciated the technical efficiency of the Directorate of Pensions, the hard work done in digitizing the documents, and the coordination with the DigiLocker platform for the successful implementation of this innovative initiative. This step is not only making the administrative system more efficient, but also increasing trust and satisfaction among the citizens.
This initiative has emerged as an example from Chhattisgarh, in line with the spirit of the Digital India Mission of the Government of India. This initiative of Chief Minister Shri Sai is directly benefiting pensioners, employees, and the administration—all three.
