Raipur, September 22, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai will dedicate 51 Mahtari Sadans to the Matri Shakti in the state-level Mahtari Sadan inauguration program organized in village Karelibadi of Dhamtari district on September 23. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate development and construction works worth Rs 245 crore 80 lakh for Dhamtari district. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma, Minister Shri Ram Vichar Netam, Minister Shri Tankram Verma will be the chief guests. MP Smt. Roop Kumari Chaudhary and Shri Bhojraj Nag, MLA Shri Ajay Chandrakar, Zilla Panchayat President Shri Arun Sarva, Janpad President Shri Virendra Kumar Sahu will be present as special guests in the program.
Karelibadi is a village in the Kurud assembly constituency of Dhamtari district. Under the Mahtari Sadan construction scheme in Dhamtari district, 4 Mahtari Sadans have been constructed in Gram Panchayat Bhendri, Medha, Kharenga and Karelibadi respectively. It is noteworthy that the Chhattisgarh government is constructing Mahtari Sadans in Gram Panchayats with the aim of making rural women self-reliant and self-dependent, establishing mutual harmony, collective participation in periodic programs and women empowerment.
Under this scheme of Mahtari Sadan construction, a total of Rs 50 crore has been approved for a total of 202 Mahtari Sadans under the first phase in the year 2024-25. The cost of each Mahtari Sadan, which will be built in approximately 2500 square feet, is Rs 24.70 lakh, with which a hall, room, kitchen, store, shop, boundary wall, toilet and borewell have been constructed in each Mahtari Sadan.
2 lakh women members of women’s self-help groups of Chhattisgarh state will virtually participate in the inauguration program of Mahtari Sadan. With the aim of connecting the capacity of women with the development of the country, the construction of Gram Panchayats Mahtari Sadan is being done rapidly in Chhattisgarh state under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Under this scheme, in the second phase in the state, a total of 166 Mahtari Sadans have been approved by the Chhattisgarh government for Rs 50 crore in the year 2025-26. The cost of each Mahtari Sadan to be built in the second phase is Rs 30 lakh.
