Raipur, August 30, 2025/ Today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has returned to Raipur after his eight-day foreign tour of Japan and South Korea. On the return of Shri Sai, he was given a grand welcome at the airport today. The entire airport premises was soaked in the traditional Karma and Panthi dances of Chhattisgarh for about an hour. The presence of a large number of people itself described the popularity of Chief Minister Shri Sai and the success of his foreign tour. The Chief Minister was welcomed with everything from bouquets to garlands. It took Shri Sai about 15 minutes to cover a distance of about 100 meters from the exit gate of the airport to the media gallery. During this time, people also welcomed Shri Sai with flower showers. Later, the Chief Minister addressed the gathering and expressed his gratitude to everyone for this grand welcome. The Chief Minister said that there is a large Indian community in both Japan and South Korea and our people of Chhattisgarh are also engaged in business activities there. I felt very good after meeting them and it didn’t feel like we were in a foreign country. He said that our entrepreneurs, our businessmen are spread all over the world and are illuminating the name of India everywhere.
This tour will open the way for foreign investment and development in Chhattisgarh – While talking to the media, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that his visit to Japan and South Korea has been successful. This visit will open the way for foreign investment and industrial development in Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister said that during the visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Japan, it was decided that Japan would invest Rs 6 lakh crore in India and a 10-year economic road map has been prepared. Chhattisgarh will also get a big share of it. Due to the agreements between India and Japan, the possibility of investment in AI, semiconductors and defense sectors in the state will increase, which will provide huge employment opportunities to the youth of Chhattisgarh.
Agreement for large-scale investment in AI, semiconductors, textiles, food processing and other sectors from Japan and Korea –
The Chief Minister said that during this visit, discussions were held with both Japan and Korea regarding investment in Chhattisgarh and agreement was reached for large-scale investment in areas like AI, semiconductors, textiles, food processing. Along with this, investment proposals have also been received from many industrial institutions in Chhattisgarh. A large number of our youth will get employment from these investment proposals.
He said that during this tour, discussions were also held with the representatives of the trade organizations of Japan and South Korea. The representatives of both the countries showed a positive attitude towards increasing trade and investment. The Chief Minister said that the trade organizations of both the countries were informed about the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh and they were made aware of its grant provisions. The trade organizations of both the countries were also informed about the availability of good infrastructure for investment in AI and semiconductors. They were told that India’s first data center park is in Chhattisgarh. Investment is increasing rapidly in the field of semiconductors in Chhattisgarh and economic grants are also being given for this.
Information on industrial possibilities in Chhattisgarh given in Japanese language at Osaka World Expo –
The Chief Minister said that our state had set up its pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan. More than 30 thousand people reached this pavilion every day. Shri Sai said that people took detailed information about the industrial situation of Chhattisgarh, about the possibilities of investment and about the culture in this expo. The Chief Minister proudly said that Chhattisgarh was the only state in the Osaka Expo that gave all its information in Japanese, which helped us to fully succeed in explaining our things to Japanese investors.
Chhattisgarh’s delegation reached South Korea for the first time –
Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed happiness and said that for the first time, a delegation from Chhattisgarh went to South Korea. In Korea too, all the things about Chhattisgarh were said in Korean language. This helped in connecting with investors. Shri Sai said that an MOU was signed with ICCK in South Korea. ICCK will become the knowledge partner of Chhattisgarh. This will be of great help in providing skilled manpower for the industries coming under the new industrial policy of the state.
The Chief Minister said that through the visit to Japan and South Korea for the development of Chhattisgarh, we have proved that we will not be limited only to the major investment centers across the country. We will go all over the world and create a place for the products of Chhattisgarh and also bring investment to Chhattisgarh.
