Raipur, August 11, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while paying a heartfelt tribute to the late Minimataji, the first woman MP of Chhattisgarh and a great social worker, said that her life is a living symbol of selfless service, unwavering courage and social change. He said that Minimataji made the protection of the rights of the deprived sections, women, Dalits and the poor the purpose of her life and strengthened the foundation of respect, equality and justice in the society.
Chief Minister Shri Sai recalled that during her tenure in Parliament, Minimataji raised a strong and fearless voice against social evils like child marriage, dowry system and untouchability. The contribution she made to the protection of the rights of laborers, the spread of women’s education and the establishment of social equality is recorded in the golden chapters of history. Her simplicity, sensitivity and service spirit gave her an indelible place in the public mind.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the ideology of Minimataji is not just a heritage of the past, but like a lighthouse for the present and future of Chhattisgarh. He appealed that we all, taking inspiration from her ideals, should play an active role in the construction of a strong, inclusive and progressive Chhattisgarh based on brotherhood, equality and justice.
