Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated a photo exhibition based on the lives of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters at the historic Town Hall located at Kachheri Chowk in Raipur, the capital.
Highlighting the importance of the exhibition, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this exhibition based on the lives of the great men of Chhattisgarh is very useful for our youth and especially for school students. This will give them an opportunity to know in detail about the role played by Chhattisgarh in the freedom struggle, the life struggles of our public figures and their invaluable contributions. It is necessary for the coming generation to understand how important Chhattisgarh’s role was in the freedom struggle. All these facts have been presented in the exhibition in a very beautiful, organized and effective manner.
The Chief Minister said that the effort being made by the Public Relations Department through this exhibition in the historic building of Town Hall to make the people of the state aware of the glorious history of Chhattisgarh is highly commendable and praiseworthy.

Chief Minister Shri Sai also participated in the quiz competition based on the information of Chhattisgarh during the exhibition and answered the questions asked. He said that this competition includes very interesting questions related to the history, culture and achievements of Chhattisgarh. It is a pleasure to see that such extensive, beautiful and systematic information has been compiled in one place. He said that by participating in the competition, he also got many new and interesting information. This is definitely very useful for children, youth and those interested in history.
Chief Minister Shri Sai urged everyone to not only visit the exhibition, but also participate enthusiastically in the competitions organized here.
*A confluence of rare documents, historical moments and modern technology*
It is noteworthy that the exhibition presents the life stories, struggles, rare documents and historical moments of the brave freedom fighters of the state in a vivid form. The active participation of Chhattisgarh in various movements during the freedom struggle, such as the Quit India Movement, has also been depicted in detail. Along with this, information about the achievements of the state government’s ambitious and public welfare schemes and the positive changes in the state is also a part of the exhibition.
This year, historical and cultural facts of Chhattisgarh are being presented in an attractive manner through virtual reality technology in the exhibition, which is very popular among children and youth in particular. The “Kon Banhi Guniya” quiz competition, organized on the lines of the famous quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati”, is also the main attraction of the exhibition, in which everyone can participate and win prizes.
The Public Relations Department will be open to the general public free of charge from August 15 to 21 every day from 10:30 am to 8:00 pm.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri P. Dayanand, Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Basvaraju S., Joint Secretary Dr. Ravi Mittal, Raipur Collector Shri Gaurav Singh, officers and employees of the Public Relations Department and a large number of dignitaries were present.
