Chhattisgarh on the global stage – Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s Japan visit becomes a bridge of technical and industrial cooperation
Raipur, Prior to Chhattisgarh’s participation in the Osaka World Expo, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai began his visit to Tokyo on August 22 with a confluence of spirituality, technology and trade diplomacy.
Upon reaching Tokyo, Chief Minister Mr. Sai visited the historic Asakusa Temple. This is the oldest and most prestigious temple in Tokyo, considered a symbol of peace and strength. Chief Minister Mr. Sai offered prayers at the temple and wished for the happiness, prosperity and continuous progress of the 3 crore people of Chhattisgarh. He said that just as this temple gives the message of peace and power, in the same way, the people of Chhattisgarh also aspire that Chhattisgarh should become a state full of peace, strength and prosperity and a state progressing towards sustainable development.

The delegation led by Chief Minister Mr. Sai met Ms. Kayo Ito, Chief Executive Officer of NTT Limited. NTT is one of the world’s top IT infrastructure and digital solutions companies, with an annual income of 90 billion US dollars and operating in more than 50 countries. In this meeting, possibilities of technology-based investment in Chhattisgarh were discussed. The Chief Minister emphasized on strengthening the digital ecosystem in the state. NTT is providing cutting-edge IT solutions including cloud computing and cyber security all over the world and is a leading force in digital transformation.
*Strengthening cultural relations and business partnerships*
In the evening, Chief Minister Mr. Sai and the delegation participated in a formal dinner hosted by Mr. Sibi George, the Ambassador of India to Japan. The discussion on this occasion emphasized the need to connect the Indo-Pacific countries through industry and trade. It highlighted the important role of economic stability, trade security, ecological balance and industrial growth. Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that there are possibilities of extensive industrial cooperation through the combination of Japan’s advanced technology and India’s skilled manpower. He also emphasized on promoting cultural relations and presenting Chhattisgarh as an attractive tourist destination for Japanese tourists.
