The Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 survey reflects significant progress in urban sanitation across Chhattisgarh. A total of 115 cities have improved their rankings. The state’s performance saw 25 cities making it into the top 100 nationally. The commitment of urban bodies is evident in the increase in Garbage-Free City star ratings, with 62 urban bodies improving their status. Raipur has been recognized with a Seven-star rating and a Water Plus city designation. In addition, three municipal corporations, namely Bilaspur, Korba, and Bhilai, have achieved Water Plus status, and 163 urban bodies have been certified as ODF++.
