Chhattisgarh’s farmers, entrepreneurs and exporters will now get direct benefit of the global market
*APEDA regional office to open in Raipur*

Raipur, July 30, 2025/ Chhattisgarh has received a big gift in the direction of promoting the export of agricultural and processed food products. As a result of the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and the active initiative of the Department of Industry, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India has approved the opening of APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) regional office in Raipur.
With the commencement of this regional office, many benefits will be available to the farmers, producers and exporters of Chhattisgarh at one place. Now they will not have to go to the offices of other states for training, certification, packaging, standardization and export related services.
*Global quality facility will be available at the local level*
With the establishment of APEDA office in the state, now phyto-sanitary certificates, quality certification, lab testing, and processes related to exports can be completed here. This will not only save time but will also reduce the cost of farmers and exporters.
*Chhattisgarh’s products will get branding and global recognition*
Export of fruits, vegetables, rice, GI tagged products, millets and other agricultural products will be easier directly in the international market from the APEDA office. This will provide products with fair prices, new markets for traders, and recognition to the state on the global stage.
*Increase in both income and knowledge of farmers*
Farmers will get better value for their produce from exports and their income will increase. Along with this, they will be able to get information and training on new technologies, quality control, modern packaging and international marketing at the local level.
*Export infrastructure will get encouragement*
APEDA not only supports certification and brand promotion, but also assists in the construction and maintenance of export infrastructure. This will lead to the development of facilities like food processing units, cold storage, pack houses in the state, which will give a new impetus to agricultural trade.
*The state will get the benefit of special schemes and subsidies*
The benefit of export promotion, skill development and subsidy schemes being run by APEDA will now be easily available to the farmers, startups and MSMEs of Chhattisgarh.
Expressing happiness over this historic initiative, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that now Chhattisgarh’s farmers and producers have got a strong medium to connect to the global market. This office will not only promote agricultural exports, but will also prove to be a decisive step towards the economic prosperity of the state. This achievement will make Chhattisgarh a leading state in the direction of ‘Vocal for Local to Global’ and will open doors to new opportunities in the region for the export of rich agricultural products.
