Chhattisgarh is set to witness a boost in its sports and healthcare sectors. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai held discussions with Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya regarding several key initiatives. A major highlight of the meeting was the decision to elevate the Bastar Olympics to ‘Khelo India Tribal Games’. This move is expected to provide a national platform for the state’s tribal youth, showcasing their skills and promoting Chhattisgarh’s unique sports heritage. Furthermore, the Chief Minister proposed opening 220-bed medical and nursing colleges in Raipur and Bilaspur. This initiative aims to enhance health education and improve medical facilities within the state. The Union Minister indicated that the central government will soon approve the proposal. The meeting also covered the establishment of a regional center for the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Chhattisgarh and the development of new sports infrastructure. The Union Minister assured prompt consideration of these requests. High-ranking officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the meeting.
