The weather department forecasts thunderstorms, lightning, and sudden strong winds (30-40 KMPH) accompanied by moderate rainfall in Dhamtari, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Raipur, Durg, and Bemetara over the next three hours. Light rainfall is expected in several other districts including Bijapur, Dantewada, Bastar, Narayanpur, Kondagaon, Kanker, Dhamtari, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Mahasamund, Raipur, Baloda Bazar, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Korba, Jashpur, Gaurela-Pendra Marwahi, Durg, Bemetara, Kabirdham, Mungeli, Suruguja, and Surajpur.
