Raipur, July 10, 2025/ Today, an important link has been added to the efforts of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to promote tourism in the state. Chhattisgarh Tourism Board made a शानदार उपस्थिति with its unique and rich heritage at the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF) going on in Kolkata. Shri Neelu Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, invited tour operators and travel agents of Kolkata for the tour package of Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, Shri Neelu Sharma, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, shared the stage with Shri Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, Chairman Shri Neelu Sharma said that it is a matter of pride for us that a prosperous state like Chhattisgarh has got the opportunity to represent on this major tourism platform of India. Our state is full of natural beauty, cultural heritage, tribal traditions, historical sites and spiritual energy. Chhattisgarh is still called ‘Unseen India’ and this is its biggest strength. He mentioned major tourist destinations of Chhattisgarh like Chitrakot Waterfall, Kanger Valley, Sirpur, Dhudmaras of Bastar along with Bhoramdev, Dongargarh, Dantewada and other religious places. He urged the tour operators and travel agents of West Bengal to include Chhattisgarh in their tourism packages.
He also said that tourism in Chhattisgarh has now been given the status of an industry and many schemes have been started to promote homestays, resorts, tribal and wellness tourism in the tourism sector. Our aim is not only to promote tourism, but also to strengthen cultural exchange and sustainable development. Shri Sharma also informed that a permanent information center of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has been established in Kolkata, which will provide direct and well-equipped services to the tour operators and tourists of Kolkata. On this occasion, 50 tour operators and travel agents of Kolkata registered.
On this occasion, Shri Vivek Acharya, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, through a presentation before the present guests, tour and travel operators, highlighted the beauty, culture and future possibilities of Chhattisgarh in detail, and also informed about the decisions taken by the Chhattisgarh government regarding tourism.
Chairman of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Neelu Sharma ji, said in a media interaction that it is necessary to know Chhattisgarh to understand India. I request all of you to come to Chhattisgarh, feel it and meet the soul of India.
On this occasion, Vice President of Sikkim Legislative Assembly Smt. Rajkumari Thapa, Advisor to the Chief Minister Shri Nasir Aslam Wani, Consul General of Thailand Ms. Sripaon Tantipanyathep along with more than 500 members of West Bengal Tour Operators and Travel Agents Association Kolkata were present.
