A gruesome murder has been reported in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Two sons fatally attacked their mother’s lover in Ahivara Ward 3. The victim, identified as Balwinder alias Bunti, was killed in the attack. Authorities have taken the body into custody and initiated a post-mortem examination.
The sons alleged that Balwinder was in a live-in relationship with their mother. The woman had reportedly separated from her husband some time ago and subsequently became involved with Balwinder. This arrangement was strongly opposed by the sons, leading to frequent arguments within the household.
The fatal incident occurred late Tuesday night. Balwinder’s frequent visits to the house were a source of conflict. Additionally, the sons harbored suspicions about Balwinder’s relationship with another woman, which added to the tension.
The dispute escalated on Tuesday night, resulting in Trilochan and Bhupesh attacking Balwinder. Trilochan used a shovel, while Bhupesh wielded a stick. Balwinder succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Nandini police responded to the scene and transported the body for a post-mortem examination.
Following a preliminary investigation, the police detained both sons based on suspicion. During questioning, they admitted their involvement in the crime. The authorities suggest the case stems from a domestic dispute rooted in the mother’s live-in relationship and suspicions about Balwinder’s character. A murder case has been registered, and the suspects are currently being interrogated.
