Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted the transformative impact of the Skill India Mission, noting its role in India’s economic advancement and emphasizing Chhattisgarh’s progress. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the World Youth Skill Festival 2025 at Rungta University, Bhilai, he stressed the importance of collective efforts to achieve a developed India and Chhattisgarh.
Sai praised the record-setting training of 8183 participants in a week, as certified by the Gold Book of World Records, and congratulated Rungta University for the free event. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to empowering youth through skill development and self-reliance.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the growth of higher education institutions under Dr. Raman Singh’s tenure, citing the presence of prestigious national institutions. He highlighted the achievements in education and healthcare, along with the government’s focus on good governance, transparency, and revenue enhancement.
He underscored Chhattisgarh’s rich mineral resources and the necessity of citizen participation in achieving self-reliance. Sai acknowledged the Skill India Mission’s positive influence, pointing out India’s ascent to the fourth-largest economy globally.
Sai also expressed that the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is beneficial, opening doors for youth with experience and financial support. The new industrial policy of the state government offers opportunities for youth, providing grants to industries employing a significant number of local youths.
He commended private institutions like Rungta University for their role in transforming Chhattisgarh into a skill hub. The festival included the training of 8183 youths, the awarding of certificates, the launch of joint degree programs with global tech giants, and the signing of MOUs with renowned universities. The event was attended by MP Vijay Baghel and MLA Rikesh Sen, who lauded the event’s impact on youth empowerment and global competitiveness. The Vice-Chancellor of Rungta University outlined the institution’s efforts in partnership with the state government to establish Chhattisgarh as a global skill hub.
