Chhattisgarh is set to launch the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ and the National Nutrition Month 2025, starting on September 17th and running through October 16th. The state-level program in Raipur will be a key event, with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi in attendance. The campaign will include numerous health camps designed to provide comprehensive health services to women and children. These camps will focus on early diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. Parallel to the health camps, the National Nutrition Month will feature activities like nutrition panchayats, community engagement at Anganwadi centers, health check-ups, nutritional counseling, and mother-child health camps. Eligible women will be registered for the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, and families will be encouraged to adopt millets and local nutritious foods. The initiative also emphasizes the active involvement of men and youths in child-rearing. The campaign underscores the government’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of women and children in Chhattisgarh, aiming to foster a healthier and more empowered society.
