Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai engaged in discussions with senior leaders from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo during his visit to Japan. The talks focused on potential investment avenues and opportunities for industrial collaboration. The meeting included prominent figures such as Kazuo Nakajo, Yuji Endo, and Harunobu Hara. Discussions centered on the significant potential of Chhattisgarh across various sectors, including IT, textiles, aerospace, automobiles, electronics, and clean energy. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to JETRO representatives to explore new investment prospects within the state’s growing economy.
Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s position as a burgeoning industrial and investment hub within India. He emphasized the state government’s commitment to attracting global investors by implementing transparent policies, simplifying procedures, and strengthening industrial infrastructure. The conversations with JETRO are anticipated to generate fresh opportunities for economic partnerships between Chhattisgarh and Japan. The Chief Minister also took part in the ‘Deep Space – To the Moon & Beyond’ exhibition, which was held to commemorate National Space Day.
He mentioned that this exhibition of space science and innovations will be instrumental in guiding the Space Manufacturing Cluster currently under development in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh, with backing from the Indian government. He expressed his optimism that the Japan trip would lead to tangible outcomes in the areas of investment, innovation, and technology transfer. The Chhattisgarh government aims to make the state industrially independent while also establishing a strong global presence through international cooperation.
