At the Thakur Pyarelal State Panchayat and Rural Development Institute in Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated a three-day training program for newly elected Zila Panchayat Presidents and Vice-Presidents. In his address, CM Sai underlined the vital role of Panchayati Raj institutions in rural development. He encouraged the officials, noting the power of an individual’s determination to change the district. He spoke about his own career, which began at the grassroots level as a Panch. He recalled how, after his father’s passing, he took on family responsibilities and never envisioned a political career. He highlighted how the public’s support led him to serve as a legislator, MP, and Chief Minister. Furthermore, Sai shared inspiring examples of public service by Dr. Achyut Samant and Nanaji Deshmukh, emphasizing the impact one can make. He also mentioned Chhattisgarh’s assets and ongoing efforts to combat Naxalism and promote development. He also shared his experience about Muler village, underscoring the positive effects of local administrative changes. CM Sai encouraged the participants to focus on quality in their development projects, conduct regular field visits, and leverage this training for effective governance. He also emphasized the importance of the training period and the need to understand the intricacies of village development.
