The Vishnu Deo Sai cabinet in Chhattisgarh has seen its long-awaited expansion. Three legislators were sworn in as ministers today. Gajendra Yadav, representing the Durg division, Guru Khushwant Saheb from the Raipur division, and Rajesh Agarwal from the Sarguja division, took their oaths of office and secrecy. Gajendra Yadav began the ceremony, including his father’s name. Following him, Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA from Arang, took the oath. Finally, Rajesh Agarwal, MLA from Sarguja, was sworn in as a minister. After the oath-taking, the three new ministers met with Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai to offer their congratulations.
The Chief Minister extended his congratulations: “I congratulate and extend my best wishes to the new members of my cabinet, Gajendra Yadav, Guru Khushwant Saheb, and Rajesh Agarwal, who were sworn in today. I am confident that all ministers will diligently serve the people, creating a legacy of development and good governance.” Chief Minister Sai expressed that the newly appointed ministers will dedicate themselves to public service with unwavering commitment and efficiency, advancing Chhattisgarh towards development and good governance. He wished all ministers a successful tenure, stating the state government would work to meet the public’s aspirations through collective effort.
Departments will be allocated to the three new ministers this afternoon. Some current ministers’ portfolios might also be adjusted. Departments such as education, currently held by the Chief Minister, will be assigned to other ministers.
There is speculation that Guru Khushwant Saheb could be assigned the departments of Religion, Culture, and Tourism. Gajendra Yadav might be given responsibility for Education, Higher Education, and Technical Education. Rajesh Agarwal, the MLA from Ambikapur, is expected to receive the Transport and Mineral Resources departments.
