Raipur, August 07, 2025 / A study team of senior officials from the Public Relations and Information Department of the Government of Maharashtra stayed in Chhattisgarh on a three-day tour from August 5 to 7, 2025. The purpose of this tour was to directly observe and study the latest innovations and effective working methods being implemented by the Chhattisgarh government in the field of information, public relations and publicity of government schemes.
The study team included six senior officials including Mrs. Samriddhi Angolkar, Deputy Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, Director Mr. Kishore Gangarde. The team studied the entire working system of the Public Relations Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh and its supporting organization, Chhattisgarh Samvad.
During the visit, the officials did an in-depth study of e-news clippings, e-RO system, e-publication, journalist accreditation system, and schemes operated for the welfare of journalists. Along with this, they also obtained detailed information about the organizational structure, operating system and various aspects of technical innovations of Chhattisgarh Samvad.
On this occasion, the study team had a courtesy meeting with Dr. Ravi Mittal, Commissioner, Public Relations Department. Public Relations Commissioner Dr. Mittal said that it has been the continuous endeavor of the Chhattisgarh Public Relations Department that information about government schemes and public welfare policies reaches the general public in a quick, transparent and effective manner. The balanced inclusion of technology and human approach in the field of information has made our working style unique. It is a matter of pleasure for us that other states are also taking interest in our innovations. This experience-sharing is a step taken in a positive and creative direction.
The study team visited the Public Relations Directorate and Chhattisgarh Samvad office located in Indravati Bhawan and directly observed the functioning of various branches and closely examined the major activities of the department.
Additional Directors Mr. J.L. Dario, Mr. Umesh Mishra and Mr. Sanjeev Tiwari provided detailed information about the major activities, working methods and technical applications of the department to the study team. Members of the study team from Maharashtra appreciated the innovations being done by the Chhattisgarh government in the field of information and public relations and showed keen interest in implementing them in their state as well.
On this occasion, various officers of the Public Relations Department and Chhattisgarh Samvad were present.
