Raigarh, Chhattisgarh – Navdurga Fuel Power Limited is facing legal action after an investigation by the Revenue Department exposed its illegal occupation of 23 acres of land in Saraiapali, under the Tamnar block. The company had allegedly occupied the Gram Panchayat’s Kotwari land for two decades. The Revenue Department’s investigation confirmed the fraudulent nature of the company’s claim, prompting a notice to vacate the land within 15 days. The illegal occupation came to light following complaints to the Revenue Department. The investigation revealed that Navdurga Fuel Power Limited had taken possession of the Kotwari land for its plant, using fabricated documentation. It was discovered that the company had been operating on the land for 20 years through fraudulent documents and collusion. The Revenue Department has served a 15-day notice for the company to vacate the premises. Failure to comply will result in administrative action to reclaim the land and legal proceedings against the company. The residents of Saraiapali and nearby villages have celebrated the decision. They expressed their gratitude to the administration for addressing the longstanding encroachment.
