The Chhattisgarh Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department has directed that kerosene will be supplied under the Public Distribution System to ration cardholders, including those in non-scheduled areas who have gas connections. For August, Chhattisgarh has been allotted 1332 kiloliters of kerosene. This allocation will be distributed to eligible recipients via fair price shops across the state. A formal notification has been dispatched from the Food Department, located at Indravati Bhawan, to all district collectors and the state-level coordinator of the Oil Industry in Raipur.
The directive clarifies that all Antyodaya and priority ration cards currently active within the Public Distribution System are eligible. Ration cardholders in urban areas are entitled to one liter of kerosene, while those in rural regions, encompassing both scheduled and non-scheduled areas, can receive up to two liters. The allotted kerosene for August 2025 must be collected by August 31.
Details of the district-wise kerosene allocations for August are: Bastar, Kanker, Janjgir-Champa, Durg, Korba, Raigarh, Bemetara, Kawardha, and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh will receive 48 kiloliters each; Dhamtari, Kondagaon, Mungeli, Balod, Rajnandgaon, Gariaband, Balrampur, Surajpur, and Shakti districts will each receive 36 kiloliters; Bilaspur, Raipur, Surguja, and Jashpur will each receive 72 kiloliters; Balodabazar-Bhatapara and Mahasamund will receive 60 kiloliters each; and Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, Korea, Sukma, and Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi will each receive 24 kiloliters. Bijapur, Narayanpur, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, and Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki districts will each get 12 kiloliters.
