Governor reviewed the progress of work in aspirational development blocks of Bastar through video conferencing
Raipur, Governor Shri Raman Deeka today reviewed the progress of ongoing works in the aspirational development blocks of Bastar division through video conferencing at Raj Bhavan. He has directed the officials to ensure rapid coordinated development in aspirational areas with human sensitivity.
In the meeting, the Governor directed the officials to make special efforts in the direction of education, health, livelihood, and Prime Minister Rural Housing and to bring about rapid progress in them. He was asked to speed up the work of TB eradication, pay special attention to drop-out children from schools, strengthen self-help groups for livelihood, and connect them with employment activities. Governor’s Secretary Dr. C. R. Prasanna, Collectors of aspirational districts, CEOs of Zila Panchayat, and district and block level officers from various departments were present in the meeting.
The Governor reviewed the progress of coordinated development works and implementation of schemes in the aspirational development blocks of Tokapal in Bastar district, Usur in Bijapur district, Kuakonda in Dantewada district, Makri in Kondagaon district, Orchha in Narayanpur district, Konta in Sukma district, and Koylibeda and Durgukondal in Kanker district. The Governor has instructed to give top priority to education and health in these areas and to make efforts towards जनawareness for it. The Governor has asked to connect more and more people with the Red Cross Society and to utilize it actively. Attention has been called for child nutrition and animal vaccination. Emphasis has been placed on regular eye and ear check-ups for children in schools. Instructions have been given to the officials to coordinate the storage of materials for rapid construction of houses in remote areas under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. Officials have been asked to bring progress in work by December and submit an action taken report.
