A tragic incident unfolded in Korba, where a man fatally assaulted his younger brother with a wooden stick on Sunday. The altercation stemmed from a drunken episode where the younger sibling was causing a ruckus. This behavior provoked the elder brother, leading to the violent act. At the time of the murder, the house was deserted as the family had gone to work in the fields. The incident occurred under the purview of the Pali police station.
Details reveal that Tulsi Ram (30) and Ram Singh (40) were residents of Kodar village. They were neighbors and both employed as farmers. On the day of the incident, Tulsi Ram, inebriated, returned home and proceeded to his older brother Ram Singh’s residence. There, he began aggressively pounding on the door.
Following the murder, the accused informed the neighbors.
Ram Singh attempted to stop him, but Tulsi Ram persisted, resorting to verbal abuse. Enraged, Ram Singh used a nearby stick to strike Tulsi Ram on the head, resulting in his immediate death. Following the assault, Ram Singh personally notified the neighbors about the death of his younger brother.
Responding to the villagers’ alert, the police swiftly arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspect. Additional Superintendent of Police Nitish Thakur stated that Ram Singh had been taken into custody. The police investigation is ongoing, with further details pending.
