Raigarh, Chhattisgarh – A grim discovery has been made in Raigarh. The body of Jaypal Singh Sidar, the younger brother of former Congress MLA Chakradhar Singh Sidar, was found in a forest, in a state of advanced decomposition. Much of the body had decayed, and the face was skeletal.
The body was located in the Lailunga police station area, near the Sisringa temple. The body’s condition suggested it had been there for approximately five to six days. Upon receiving the report, police and a forensic team immediately responded to the scene. Local authorities alerted the family, who identified the deceased as Jaypal Singh Sidar, who had been missing since July 7th.
Jaypal Singh Sidar, aged 43 and a resident of Katkaliya village, worked as the village secretary in Pakhar. He was last seen on July 7th, when he left his home in his Swift Dzire car to drop his child at school. Extensive searches by the police and family members had yielded no results.
A missing person report was filed on July 8th. The police investigation involved tracking his mobile phone, which showed a last known location in Jashpur. His car was found near Gerwani-Lakha about a week prior. The discovery of his body brings an end to the search, though the cause of death is still under investigation.
