The anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, continues to yield results. Security forces have eliminated two more Naxals in the latest encounter, following the earlier killing of Bhaskar, who carried a bounty of 45 lakhs. Automatic weapons were seized from the scene, according to the Bijapur Superintendent of Police.
The operation has already seen significant successes, including the deaths of Sudhakar, a Naxal leader with a one-crore bounty, and Bhaskar. With the latest casualties, a total of four Naxals, including two high-ranking commanders, have been neutralized.
The security forces are encouraged by these victories, which are significantly impacting Naxal organizations. Last Friday, Naxal leader Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu was killed in the anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area. An AK-47 rifle, along with other explosives, weapons, and ammunition, was recovered from the site. Bhaskar was a resident of Adilabad district, Telangana, and the secretary of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee’s Mancherial-Komaram Bheem (MKB) division. Mandugula Bhaskar Rao was a member of the Telangana State Committee’s Special Zonal Committee (SZC). He was 45 years old and a resident of Urumadala village, Adilabad district, Telangana. The body of Central Committee member Gautam alias Sudhakar was earlier recovered on June 5, 2025, with an AK-47 rifle. The continued success has bolstered the security forces’ confidence and weakened the Naxal organizations.
