A violent act by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district resulted in the murder of three villagers and the abduction of twelve others. The abductees were taken into the forest before being released later. The event has caused widespread panic.
The deceased villagers have been identified as Jaggu Modiyam, Anil Mandavi, and Soma Modiyam. Following the murders, the Naxals took twelve more people from the village, leading them into the forest.
According to sources, about seven of the abducted villagers were subjected to physical abuse. After several hours, all twelve were released and returned to their homes safely.
The incident has caused significant concern among local villagers. Police and security forces are maintaining high alert levels throughout the region, and an investigation is ongoing.
