While the police successfully located Archana Tiwari of Katni, Madhya Pradesh, who had gone missing after boarding the Narmada Express, another young woman, Jyoti, from the Betul district has also vanished. The circumstances mirror Tiwari’s case, as Jyoti also disappeared after taking a train. Her family has been desperately searching for her for three days, with no sign of her whereabouts.
Jyoti, a 20-year-old resident of Kherwara village in the Athner police station area, had departed from Raipur three days ago, intending to return home. However, she never arrived. The family’s search has led them to file a missing person report at the local police station on Tuesday.
Jyoti had been employed at a private company in Raipur and resided in a hostel for the past two months. On Sunday, she spoke with her brother between 11 AM and 12 PM, informing him that she was taking a train to Betul. Her phone subsequently went out of service around 3 PM, and since then, contact has been lost.
Friends and colleagues confirmed that Jyoti had indeed left for home by train on Sunday morning but did not arrive at her destination or return to her hostel. She was expected to reach Betul by Monday morning.
With no contact and no clues to her whereabouts, the worried family reported the situation at the Athner police station on Tuesday evening. Police have launched a search operation, investigating railway stations and the surrounding areas. The family is increasingly anxious as three days have passed without any news. They are particularly concerned because Jyoti always maintained contact during her travels.
