Raipur, September 08, 2025/With the aim of giving a new impetus to regional development, the Commerce and Industries Department of the Government of Chhattisgarh under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai is going to organize Investor Connect in Bastar on September 11, 2025. This major investment promotion initiative has already been successfully organized earlier in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Raipur and at the international level in Tokyo, Osaka and Seoul. Through these events, investment proposals worth ₹6.65 lakh crore have been received from November 2024 till now. The state government is now taking investment opportunities to Bastar through Chhattisgarh Investor Connect, which is one of the most dynamic and promising regions of the state.
Bastar Investor Connect reflects the state government’s commitment to balanced regional development under the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024–30. The objective of this policy is to create employment, promote entrepreneurship and empower local communities. Along with this, it also ensures that the rich tribal heritage and cultural identity of Bastar is also preserved.
Under the Chhattisgarh Industrial Development Policy 2024–30, special incentives have been provided for projects that invest more than ₹1000 crore or create more than 1000 jobs. In this policy, sectors like pharmaceuticals, agriculture and food processing, textile industry, IT and digital technology, advanced electronics, aerospace and defense and global capability centers have been given priority. Tourism has also been given the status of an industry, under which a subsidy of up to 45 percent will be made available on projects like hotels, eco-tourism, wellness centers, adventure sports and sports facilities in Bastar. It is noteworthy that 88 percent of the blocks of Bastar fall in Group-3 category, which will ensure maximum policy benefits to the investors.
Special provisions have been made in this policy to promote inclusion. Under this, SC/ST entrepreneurs will get 10 percent additional subsidy, while families and individuals affected by Naxalism will also get the benefit of 10 percent additional subsidy. This reflects the government’s commitment towards social rehabilitation and inclusive development. As an innovative initiative, on providing employment to surrendered Naxals in new industrial units, a 40 percent subsidy (maximum ₹5 lakh per annum) will be made available on their salaries for five years. Along with this, steel sector units in Bastar will be provided with royalty reimbursement facility for 15 years, which will give long-term confidence to the investors and bring stability to the industrial development.
The government hopes that more than 200 prominent investors, industry stalwarts and local entrepreneurs from India and abroad will participate in the Bastar Investor Connect. This event will prove to be a high-level platform for cooperation and development. There is also a possibility of signing many important memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on this occasion, which will prove to be a historic milestone in the development journey of Bastar.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that our government is fully committed to providing the youth of Bastar with the skills and opportunities that they are entitled to and with which they can become active participants in the development story of Chhattisgarh. Every initiative of the industrial policy has been thoughtfully prepared with the aim of empowering local communities and bringing prosperity to every home.
The organization of Chhattisgarh Investor Connect in Bastar will prove to be an important milestone in realizing the overall development of Bastar. It will make Bastar a symbol of sustainable and inclusive development, whose roots are deeply connected with the social and cultural structure of the region. Along with this, it will ensure that the flow of opportunities and benefits reaches directly to the local people.
