Baba Guru Ghasidas’ Message: A Guiding Path for Humanity – CM Vishnu Dev Sai
‘Manke-Manke Ek Saman’ – The Idea of Equality is the Strong Foundation of Chhattisgarh – Chief Minister
Raipur, December 20 2025 / Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai of Chhattisgarh attended as chief guest at the conclusion of the three-day commemorative ceremony of Saant Guru Ghasidas Rojat Jayanti held at Guru Ghasidas Knowledge Centre, Pushpavatika, Saranagar. On this occasion, CM Sai performed a ritual worship at the Jaitkham established at the knowledge centre and expressed wishes for peace, prosperity and happiness for the state.
In his address, CM Vishnu Dev Sai said that the revered Baba Guru Ghasidas was not just a guide for a single community but for all of humanity. His immortal message “Manke-Manke Ek Saman” lays a firm foundation of social equality, human dignity, and brotherhood. He noted that in a time when society was bound by exploitation, discrimination and prejudices, Baba Guru Ghasidas gave a bold message of truth, non‑violence and equality, giving society a new direction.
CM Sai stated that the Chhattisgarh government, inspired by the thoughts of Saant Guru Ghasidas, is committed to bring development and justice to the last person of society. He mentioned that most of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guarantees have been put into practice in the past two years.
CM Sai said that purchase of paddy at support price is among the highest priorities of the government. He added that in the past two years, the quantity of paddy and the number of farmers in the state have increased, proving growing trust of farmers in the government’s policies. The government is fully committed to purchase paddy from every eligible farmer. He also mentioned that through the Mahatari Vandan Scheme, about 7 million women in the state are benefitting, strengthening women’s economic self‑reliance.
CM Sai said that full transparency is being ensured in the PSC recruitment process, so that youths get opportunities based on merit. Through the new industrial policy, every caste in society is being given opportunities for entrepreneurship. This policy not only promotes job creation but also empowers social justice. The Chief Minister called upon all social classes to adopt the thoughts of Saant Guru Ghasidas and become participants in building a developed Chhattisgarh.
At this event, Scheduled Castes Development Minister Guru Khushvanta Sahib said “Manke-Manke Ek Saman” is the bedrock of social harmony, equality and brotherhood. He said that the anniversary of Baba Guru Ghasidas is being celebrated worldwide with reverence and respect. He added that under the leadership of CM Vishnu Dev Sai, the development of the Scheduled Caste community has gained new momentum in the past two years. Under the overall development of Giraudpurhi Dham, many important works such as Jaitkham, temple complex, Amrit Kund, road to Chatta Pahad, steps and lighting arrangements have been completed.
He mentioned that to provide convenience to devotees, approval has been granted for 30 lakh rupees for building a shade structure from the main entrance to the temple and 20 lakh rupees for other development works. Additionally, an amount of 1.711122 crore rupees has been approved for development of Bhandarpuri Dham, which will quickly initiate infrastructure work there. In the field of education, an aid of 1.5-1.5 lakh rupees has also been decided to provide pilot training to five talented youths each year for the upliftment of the Scheduled Caste community.
The ceremony was also addressed by Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma. The program was attended by MP Shri Radheshyam Rathia, MLA Shri Miti Uttari Ganapath Jangde, district panchayat chairman Shri Sanjay Bhushan Pandey, former MLA Shri Nirmal Sinha, Dr Chhabilal Ratre, Mrs. Kerabai Manhar, Ms. Kaamda Jholhe, Mrs. Jyoti Patel and many other representatives, officials and devotees.
