A devastating incident in Noida resulted in the death of a five-year-old girl and injuries to two men following a collision involving a speeding BMW. The accident took place near a hospital in Sector 30. The victims, including Gul Mohammad, Raja, and the young girl Ayat, were on a Honda Activa scooter, returning from Child PGI Hospital at approximately 12:20 AM on Sunday. A Haryana-registered BMW rammed into the scooter from behind, close to the hospital’s Gate Number 3.
Police investigations revealed that Ayat was brought to the hospital due to a decline in her health. Assistant Commissioner of Police Praveen Singh confirmed that the child died at the site of the crash, while Gul Mohammad and Raja were injured and were undergoing treatment. The driver of the BMW initially fled the scene, but the police were able to track the vehicle and make arrests based on the registration details. Yash Sharma, 22, from Sector 37, and Abhishek Rawat, 22, from Sector 70, were taken into custody. Authorities have verified that Yash Sharma was behind the wheel during the incident. A case has been filed at Sector 20 police station, and investigations continue under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, addressing rash driving, endangering life, and causing death by negligence.
